 A Word from the President
Thank you for exploring the Professional Data Systems, Inc
(PDSI) website. Our company's focus is to provide serious distribution
software at sensible prices.
We founded the company in 1995 because there was limited
availability of software for the small to mid-size wholesale distributor.
We felt that with my many years of experience developing software for other
companies (in the automotive and hard-lines industry), we could develop a
new system, using modern software tools, that would be simpler to use,
inexpensive to develop and more affordable for our customers. In addition,
we wanted a system that was easier to support and more reliable.
Our company began with its headquarters in Lee's
Summit, Missouri. It
contained hardware assembly, customer support and a well-equipped customer
training area. From the beginning, we provided full customer support and
training.
Since then, we have grown at a rapid pace, benefiting from
the continuously changing technology of our industry. We developed ProTrac®, a robust and powerful, feature rich suite of
programs. Our system is designed to serve the needs of small to mid-size
durable goods wholesale distributors.
During the first five years of the company's existence, many
millions of dollars went into the development of ProTrac®.
This software was developed from scratch, keeping in mind three guiding
principles:
a) Utilize modern tools to develop state-of-the-art
products.
b) Deliver the most cost effective and simple to use solutions
available.
c) Provide our clients with "superior customer service."
Now, Professional Data Systems, Inc. and affiliates,
successfully service nearly two hundred installations nationwide. Our base
of excellent references is growing exponentially.
Currently, our headquarters continues to operate from Lee's
Summit, Missouri. We have
recently expanded and our national sales organization is based in the Research
Triangle Park
in North Carolina. We have
also partnered with other trademarks and affiliates. These actions are
designed to provide our customers the latest in modern technology, services
