Kits

ProTrac offers you two different ways for you to handle your hose assembly sales. The first is to use a kit and build the hoses as a part of the order process. These kits would not have to be built prior to making the sale. During the sales order process, if you sell a kit that is not on hand and available, ProTrac will drop down the box that asks if you want to pick the kits that have just been ordered.

If you say yes the next screen will come up with the kit that you sold.

This screen gives you a chance to review the kit that has been sold and to have a pick ticket sent to the warehouse to pick and assemble this hose.

If you tell ProTrac that you want to pick the kits: A pick ticket is created for just the Kit items. The kit -pick ticket, is used to pull and assemble the required number of kits for this order. When the kits are complete then you would release the pick ticket for the entire order, which would include the newly assembled kits.

This Picking ticket is the same format which would be used in the assembly process.

Pages 3 and 4 covers the Assembly process

The invoice on the right has listed the kit and the components of that kit. ProTrac has only priced the kit itself and not the individual parts.

You have options on how a kit is displayed and priced on the invoice. The selection for this invoice was to see the price of the whole unit and the parts which make up that hose. The pricing is not to show on the individual items.

THE ASSEMBLY PROCESS: The Assembly Process was designed to let you create kits in advance or to create a large number of the same hose assembly and put them on the shelf. ProTrac helps you track the inventory even when it has been pulled and is being assembled. The top display shows you your inventory position, prior to creating and releasing an Assembly Order, to be picked and created. The second display is the assembly order that has been created to pre-assemble 10 hoses for Mobil Repair.

The Assembly process was started by creating a Bill of Material for this hose assembly.

The Assembly Order has now been released to the warehouse to make the needed number of hoses.

This display indicates that 10 FF49-3 hose connectors have been pulled from stock for an Assembly. Prior to the release there were 90 units on Hand and 90 Units available for sale. At the time of the release, ProTrac is displaying 90 units On Hand – 80 units available for sale - 10 units in the Assembly Process (AO)

The Assembly Pick Ticket is Created and the Assemblies are completed

The Assembly Process Has Been Completed and 10 completed hoses are ready to go back onto the shelf as a Gulf 10’ X 1" Kit.

The FF49-3 connector has been relieved of 10 units which were in the assembly process. Now there are 80 units On Hand and 80 units available. The cost for the 10 units has now been transferred to the Kit. The Cost of this item has been reduced by the number of units used in the assembly process.

We started out to make 10 hose kits called a Gulf 10’ X 1" kit. Now that the Assembly order has been completed, that Kit item now has 10 available for sale. The costs of each of its three components now makes up the cost for this Kit.

Throughout this process, ProTrac has maintained the correct amount of product that is available for sale.

This ensures that you do not find yourself in the position of selling 3 when you only have 2 units available. As soon as an order is created, ProTrac immediately updates the available and reserved fields.
